Prior to his tenure at Sony, Mr. Rodriguez received distinction for his work co-creating the Leadership Staffing Center of Excellence (LSCE) for healthcare and insurance giant Blue Cross/Blue Shield. That best-practice model was later adopted throughout Blue Cross systems U.S wide.
George earned his undergraduate degree in Business and Psychology from Mercy College, where he graduated at the top of his class. He conducted his graduate Master's studies, in the area of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, at New York University.
George is affiliated with numerous thought leadership forums including the Human Resources Planning Society (HRPS), Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA) and American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). He speaks publicly on vital human capital matters across the country. Most recently, he was selected by KPMG to provide analysis of finance leadership recruiting trends and present competitive advisory at its annual Executive Education Program symposium.
Locally, George's advocacy initiatives and community work earned him the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's coveted Hispanic Businessman of the Year honors in 2002. George has also been named Connecticut Businessman of the Year and was selected to serve the state of Connecticut on the new Presidential Business Commission.
